Drawer Pedestal Beds Featured in Demo Preview Video

by admin on 2016-03-17

Furniture Traditions creates a new demo preview video for their drawer pedestal beds — the 4-drawer Adjustable Bed Drawer Pedestal #635 and 6-Drawer Headboard Pedestal #611. The video is part of Furniture Traditions’ Product Preview Demonstration Series, with Tim Price showing the style, special features and benefits of Furniture Traditions’ bedroom furniture.

Both drawer pedestal beds maximize space under-the-bed to add a whole area of storage to your bedroom using easy-to-access drawers with full extension guides. In the video, Tim reveals the hidden cubby area in both drawer pedestals.

The 4-drawer Adjustable Bed Drawer Pedestal is designed to work with most adjustable beds such as the Ergomotion, Leggett & Platt and Tempur-pedic adjustable bed frames, but also works with conventional mattress and low profile foundation. After taking off the legs, if your adjustable bed lays flat on the floor without hitting its motor, it should work with the Adjustable Bed Drawer Pedestal #635. You’ll get an amazing amount of under-the-bed storage (13.5 cu. ft.), without having to give up your adjustable bed.

The 6-drawer Headboard Pedestal works as a stand alone platform bed as well as with all headboards, including Furniture Traditions’ Classic Sleigh Headboard, the Mid Wall, Panel Headboard, Nostalgia Bookcase HeadboardDeluxe Spindle Headboard and others. The Headboard Pedestal bed adds 12.5 cu. ft. of useable storage space for king and queen beds.

Each piece of furniture is “bench made”, which means an individual craftsman works on each piece. “With his signature on every piece he makes, he takes pride in creating something extraordinary”. Wood tones are available in oak and alder hardwoods. Made in America.

Mid Wall Pier Bed

Taking up less floor space than a bed and two nightstands, the Mid Wall provides 15 cu. ft. of usable storage space, and includes bedside pull-out trays, and dual reading lamps. In the video, Tim reveals the Mid Wall’s two secret compartments, two personal cubbies, and in the light bridge, a concealed lift-top that hides a velvet-lined compartment for hiding personal items.

Smart Ways to Create More Bedroom Storage

by admin on 2016-02-25

Your bedroom should be a place to relax and unwind, a haven from life’s chaos. But we’ve all been there—clutter piles up in the bedroom with piles of dirty clothes, shoes are jumbled in an overstuffed closet, and there just aren’t enough storage spaces to neatly store every blanket and bedside book.

Before you blame a lack of home space, how are you utilizing the space you currently have? Here are 3 bedroom storage ideas to create more storage space within the space you have.

Stick it Under the Bed

The space beneath the bed provides additional options for storage and it’s also a convenient place to keep less-used items out of prime storage space. Specially designed under-bed wheeled boxes keep items out of sight but are easy to roll out when you need something. Suitcases can be stored beneath the bed when not in use and can double as storage for blankets, linens, and clothing.

Adjustable Bed Drawer Pedestal

The 4-Drawer Pedestal goes with all headboards made by Furniture Traditions.

Furniture Traditions suggests maximizing your space under the bed with a bed pedestal. It’s a smart and easy way to add a whole area of storage to your bedroom. A 4-Drawer Pedestal with full-extension drawers can add 13.4 cubic feet of space—more storage space than a big 10-drawer dresser.

Cabinets Instead of Nightstands

Double duty furniture can also serve as extra storage. If you have limited space around your bed, ditch the nightstands or bedside tables in favor of a headboard with cabinets to help you manage your messes and create a peaceful sleeping space.

Pier Group

The Pier Group headboard adds 20.3 cu. ft. of usable storage space, and provides dual lights with individual dimmer switches so that one person can read while the other sleeps. The bedside pull-out trays replace the need for a nightstand to hold your coffee, books and glasses. Hidden compartments house 2 USB ports and keep your electrical wiring from phones, clocks and radios out of sight and cedar-lined cabinets protect your belongings. It’s a smart way to add a whole area of extra space and functionality using the same floor space as 2 nightstands and a headboard.

Space Saving Vertical Furniture

Don’t let vertical space go to waste. In the bedroom, it can add that much needed extra storage space. Look for tall dressers and armoires to stretch your small bedroom’s storage space. Go for a compact entertainment center for your TV, stereo and related media, or free up floor space by using wall-mounted towers for DVDs and CDs.

12-Drawer Chest

A tall dresser, such as the 12-drawer Master-piece Chest, can add 11.5 cu. ft. of usable storage space to your bedroom.

TV Armoire

This TV Armoire hides the TV and adds 23.2 cu. ft. of usable storage space to the bedroom including multiple secret storage areas. It features a 1″ beveled mirror on the door, a fingerprint activated safe, two full extension, cedar-lined drawers, converts to a gun cabinet, and more. A truly multi-functional piece of furniture for the bedroom.

The Versatile TV Console

by admin on 2016-02-17

This deluxe 3-drawer TV console is one of the most versatile TV stands. With its generous size, most of today’s TVs will fit on top. At 65″ wide, this console will hold a very large TV. If not, you always have the option of mounting the TV on the wall.

Components are Covered

Underneath you’ll find plenty of room to accommodate multiple components. The smoked glass doors will hide your components, while still allowing your remote to work. A removable back panel allows for ease of access and installation of your components. Available from the front is a power strip to plug in all of your components. A custom ventilation system helps keep your components cool with the doors closed. All shelves are adjustable so you can customize for your personal needs.

How High Should the TV Be?

The basic guideline for the height of your TV is the lower half of the your TV screen should be level with your sightline. With the height of this TV stand at 31″, that would put TVs 32″ or larger at a proper level for viewing while lying in bed, sitting on the bed or in a chair. Be sure to take the final measurements for yourself.

Style and Matching Pieces.

The 3-Drawer TV Console will pair perfectly with your matching full bedroom set by Furniture Traditions, or with a variety of other matching pieces offered by Furniture Traditions. Available in Oak and Alder.
